Cone Shape

Cone burs are used by dentists, dental lab workers, jewelers, and hobbyists. These burs have a triangular shape with straight tapering sides that come to a point at the tip. Cone burs may also have flat or rounded ends and are available in a wide range of diameters. These burs are made from various materials, including steel, carbide, and high-speed steel.

The selection of the bur is based on the task to be accomplished and what material is being worked with, whether it is natural enamel, acrylic, or metals such as gold and silver. A cone bur is useful in jewelry applications when deburring holes or changing the location of holes is necessary. Cone burs are also useful for dentists, hobbyists, and woodcarvers.

Cone shape carbide cutters are available as regular cut, double cut, fine cut, double fine cut, or double extra fine cut burs. They may also be purchased as cone shape cutters with a left spiral.
